and collector of denim art joins the site. Most interested in art that makes a statement concerning the personality of the maker or responds to a social problem. Indeed the more personal the art the more interesting it is to me although there are others viewing the site, and they have their own points of view. So, if you want recognition for your denim art and/or if you want to sell it, then put it on this site and let others know about it. For the Levi's contest, we only had printed posters (100) which we sent to art schools. We received 8000 35MM color slides of garments and their makers. This lead to the book, "American Denim, A New Folk Art." It also led to recognition in fine art museums worldwide. This was pre-internet but was viral anyway.
